The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has started dredging up mud sediment in the Baru Barat River as wide as 4 meters and more than 800 meters length, Menteng Atas Urban Village, Setiabudi.
According to Mustajab, Sub-agency Head of South Jakarta SDA, it was carried out as the mud was already thick thus the river water often overflowed and inundated Jalan Karya, which is on the edge of the river.
